Plain-English summary: we store what you give us to run the waiting list. Nothing is sold. Ask and we delete it.

1. Who we are

The data controller is The Unknown Management Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. For anything to do with your data, email hello@theunkn.com. This policy covers the pre-launch site and its waiting list. A fuller policy will be published when the community launches.

2. What we collect

Only what you give us when you join the waiting list:

3. Why we use it

We use these details to manage the waiting list, to send invitations, and to send occasional launch updates. Our legal bases under UK GDPR are legitimate interest, in running the waiting list you asked to join, and consent, for the updates, which you can withdraw at any time by replying or emailing us.

4. Where it lives

Your details are stored on cloud infrastructure in the EU and US: Vercel hosts the site and Neon hosts the database. When our email provider is active, it will process email addresses to send invites and updates. Each provider is engaged under standard data protection terms, including safeguards for transfers outside the UK.

5. How long we keep it

We keep waiting-list details until launch invitations have concluded, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. After that, they are removed.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us at any time to:

One email to hello@theunkn.com is enough.

7. What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.

8. Cookies

The site uses essential cookies needed for it to work, plus anonymous analytics that tell us how pages are used without identifying you. No advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant and you are on the waiting list, we will tell you by email.

This is a template pending formal legal review.
